My Waitangi Weekend By Emma

On Saturday I had athletics for my club North Canterbury at Rawhiti Domain. The events I competed in were, 800m, shot put, 60m and 200m sprint. It was stinking hot there, I almost melted.

On Sunday our old neighbour Susan from Dunedin came up to stay the night because her husband was racing in a race car competition at Ruapuna Race Track. Later that night Susan took Mum and I  out to Winnie Bagoes in Rangiora. I had a cheese pizza and for dessert I had an ice cream with a berry flavoured sauce. After that Susan said she would like to have a look around Southbrook School and the construction that will be going on.

In the morning Susan took us out to Pegasus to have a look around. After we did that Susan brought us morning tea at the cafe there. I had a HUGE lolly cake and a rather big orange juice. Next of course we went around the lake there and it was beautiful.

We came back home and said goodbye to Susan and thanked her for being so generous, it was great to see her, we miss her and our Dunedin neighbours, family and friends.
