Marshmallow slice recipe


Ingredients 


  1. 250 grams plain chocolate biscuits
  2. 150 grams butter [melted]
  3. 1/2 cups desiccated coconut
  4. 250 grams vanilla marshmallows
  5. 1/3 cups milk
  6. 1/4 cups caster sugar 
  7. 1 tbsp finely grated orange zest
  8. 1 tbsp orange juice
  9. 300 ml cream
  10. 1/4 cups shredded coconut,toasted

Steps


1. Grease and line a deep 18 cm square cake panWith baking paper,
extending paper on 2opposite sides for handles. Process biscuits
Until crushed. Add butter and coconut;process to combine.
Press mixture into prepared pan. Cover with plastic food wrap;
Chill for 30minutes until firm.

2.place marshmallows,milk and sugar in a medium saucepan 
over low heat. Stir until marshmallows have melted.
Stir in zest and juice. Transfer mixture into a medium heatproof
bowl;cool to room temperature.

3. Using an electric mixer; beat cream to soft peaks in a small
bowl. Fold cream into the marshmallow mixture. Poor
over the slice;sprinkle with coconut. Cover with plastic
Food wrap;chill for 4 hours or overnight to set.
Cut into slices to serve.
