End Of Term Already!

I cant believe its end of term already !
on friday its gonna be my birthday ooooh i cant wait!!!
this term i have enjoyed all the fun stuff we do as a class like ernest shackleton i learnt alot this term on frank worsley and ernest it was really good fun!!
and im really proud of my self for getting my marine eclogy stuff done !!!!!!!

Tomorrow you need to have completed your marine ecology brochure and your Shackleton booklet.
Well done to Amber, Daniel and Caleb P-E who have finished both projects to a very high standard.
Please remember that we have been working on both of these topics for a very long time, and that it is important to manage your time, and complete both.
There will be no homework this week, so you will have extra time at home to work on these.

What a fabulous effort made by all today whilst making our afghan biscuits. I was really impressed by the sense of community our class showed, sharing ingredients and packing up the class without being asked. It has been great to follow the process of collecting our walnuts, to making the biscuits today.

End of Term Requirements

Hi Team 11!


The end of term is nearly upon us, and deadlines are approaching fast! Please make sure you are managing your time effectively and getting your work done!



1. Shackleton: Your Shackleton booklet is due next Friday. You must include a timeline of Endurance, a profile page on Shackleton and Worsley, and a picture page.



2. Marine Ecology. We need to focus on completing our brochures on our chosen marine creatures. If you complete this early you can work on creating a storyboard with a partner about your creature's life cycle.

Please come and see me if you are feeling under pressure and require more time and help. Remember it is better to come and ask for help rather than have a mental breakdown!!!!

CHOPSTICKS

hey guys it was my mums birthday on thursday and on satrday we went to my grandparents place for tea and we went to a place called chopsticks they and really nice food there and there was this carrot sclupture there it was really cool so my mum took it home dont she asked if she could then it was somone elses birthday and these ladies sang to them and they wer amazing they made music with just opening there mouths my mum said tht they all have a different tone so it all comes together and it sounds beautiful!!

Hi guys on Wednesday Mum dropped my brother and I off at the crossing to walk to school!I know crazy! But she had to go to work!When we got there I saw Eva and Emma in the office until my Nanna came to pick us up! This is what it looked like at my house! From Lucy!

Poetry Take 2

Hi Team 11!

Okay Team - Poetry was a no go today, but we need to get our class competition complete by Thursday next week, so the plan is:
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon from 1.30 - 2.15pm we will hold our class competition. If we are running behind schedule we have extra time on Thursday morning.
The Senior Team Competition will be held on Thursday at 11am.
The Senior School Teachers are looking for:
An appropriate poem that is of a 'good' length! (4-5 verses)
Creativity (You could dress up, use an accent and hand gestures! )
Clarity ( Volume, good pace, nice clear voice)

Take time over the weekend to practice in front of your family - they will be able to give you lots of tips!
We will have extra time on Monday to practice as well.

My Snow Adventure Story

Well my snow in my backward was like a winter wonderland it was sooo beautiful i wish i could show u the photos but there on my mums phone :( anyway i went for a walk on wednesday and i was cathing snow flakes in my mouth some of them got in my eye when i got home i jumped on the trampoline with the snow it was awesome.also i went to the park and went on my snow sled down the hill it was fun and next i got home and i stood on my sled and slipped and hurt my hip but
its okay now i love the snow soo much i dont want it to leave :) Eva G

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had so much fun in the snow.
Except since my dog is white ish, when me and dad went out to play last night she ran into me and made me face plant!!!!. My neck still hurts!!!!
The snow is soooooooooooooooo gorgeous. But lets hope it doesnt happen three times like last year!
Well I hope everyone has had a blast playing and watching the snow.
I mesured the snow yesterday and it got to 17cm at my house.
Both my dogs went nuts.
But it has been awesome.

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

I cant believe that it snowed today and yesterday it is amazing it is the first time i have played in snow for 3 years. we made a snowman and we played in the snow. I had snow fight with my sister Molly. It was my little sister phoebes first time in the snow and she loved it. My dog Rosie loves the show it was her first time in the show to and she went crazy!!!!!!!!!  Everyone has enjoyed the snow at my house but my mum is a bit disappointed because there is snow all over her roses and they all broke .!!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

Today was awesome the snow was soo pretty i went out side and made a fort so me and my sister could have a snowball fight but i didnt get to finish it and it is suppused to clear up tonight !!:(:(:(:(:(
Hopefully it doesnt  so i can finish it

In the bright side i hope everyone had lots of fun in the snow. I have a challenge who ever sends in the funniest picture over yourself in the snow might get a prize SOOOO..........

PLEASE remember to practice your poem this week. It is your homework for the week, and there will be no other homework this week. It is in your best interests to practice your poem and learn it off by heart!
The Room 11 Poetry Competition is happening this Friday at 11am!

You will be judged on:
Your poem - it must be at least 4-5 verses long, and you must know it off by heart
Creativity - you could use a funny accent, get dressed up or use props
Clarity - make sure you speak clearly and not to quickly

We will go over all of this tomorrow - but please be prepared.

Best Weekend Ever

I had the most funiest weekend ever.

At 6:30 Saturday morning i went to the air port to pick up my cousin(and her husband) from Auckland.After we picked them up we took them out for breakfast!!!Suddenly there was an earth quake and they hadnt even been in Christchurch for an hour and they still experinced there first ever earthquake!!!

On Sunday we got up at 10:00 and went to Hanmer Springs.When we got there we went into the hot pools because it was freezing!!!!Then we walked down to a fudge shop i got coconut ice it was sooo good!!!!

On Monday we went to a fair that was in ChristChurch and my brother(Flynn) got his face painted a zebra it looked amazing.Then we decided to go and have a look at the damage in Christchurch it was extremly sad!!!:(:(:(:(:(
After we went into Christchurch we went into a place called the Chocolate Lounge and it was soo good because they make hot chocolates out of real chocolate(YUM!!)

Last but not least we had to take them back to the airport!!:(:(:(:(
I miss them sooo much

But i had the Best Weekend Ever!!!
And i will never ever forget it!!!
